And just like that my time in Taiwan is up. From Liuqiu island we went back to Taipei and New Taipei county (surrounds the city), with a short and boring 2-day stopover in Tainan. Next time, I will avoid the west coast entirely, and stick to the peace and solitude of the unpopulated east coast.
Also Taipei gets extra marks for having an entire 'Myanmar street'. There's barely a handful of Burmese restaurants spread across the whole of Europe, so to have an entire street of authentic Burmese food right in the city was a little dream come true for me.
