So I am back out, heading to the Antipodes with a few stops on the way. This time it is actually for a paid job, so don't judge me too harshly for being a backpacking lay-about. First up is Türkiye, where I am visiting a friend I met in North Macedonia this year (see here).
Very very quickly, the turkish people have cemented themselves as among the kindest and most helpful in the world. The food culture is also much richer than I had known and surprisingly vegan friendly (shout out to my friend's mum for her expert culinary skills). Although I am only seeing the Hellenistic side for now, the potential of Türkiye is slowly opening up to me and I am very happy to call myself a new neighbour of this land.
