I'm back in the first foreign country I ever went to Though, because I am on a completely different island to the one I visited, it strangely feels incredibly different. Whereas Bornean Malaysia was isolated, undeveloped, and populated by mostly ethnic Malays and Bornean minority groups, Peninsular Malaysia stands in stark contrast. The cities are modern and clean, and filled with a mixture of Malay, Chinese, and Southern Indian cultures.

Malaysia has now taken the trophy from Taiwan as my vegan food capital of the world, Kuala Lumpur you have suprised me. Where else do you have the authentic cuisines of Malaysia, China, India and Thailand so easily available and so cheap?
